LPSA is sponsoring a day long program for the 7, 8 and 9th grade students from LPCS which will be run by Paul Smith's College on June 23rd. The program will involve testing for the effects of acid rain in Lake Pleasant using Paul Smith's new boat, research and testing of water sources for lake contamination as well as training on being junior lake stewards and how to do boat inspections. This will be conducted at the Speculator Village park and boat dock and will include a picnic lunch.
LPSA is also sponsoring the third annual school contest which this year is concentrated on acid raid. The winners will be announced at a later date with awards and certificates being presented at the June 24th LPCS Awards Ceremony.
